WALTER T. GRAY After a long fight with cancer, on Monday, January 24, 2005, Walter lost his battle and died at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 82. Walter was born in Dalkeith, Scotland. He served in both the Second World War and Korea. He enjoyed music, watching sports, playing cards, animals and dancing. Predeceased by both parents, Walter Sr. and Eleanor, as well as a sister Barbara Jowett and son Ray. Left to mourn are his wife, Shirley Gray; seven children; one niece and husband, one great-nephew, two great-great-nephews, two sisters, Eleanora Moore, Dorothy Lawrence, along with 12 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. The soldier has gone to his last post. Service will be held Friday, January 28 at Kerr's Funeral Chapel at 669 Broadway at 11:00 a.m. Resting Place - Brookside Cemetery. Refreshments to follow at the 141 Legion located at 618 Selkirk Ave. No flowers please. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society in Walter T. Gray's name.
